Here’s the email we just sent out to our student divestment list. Not getting our emails? Sign up at the top of our homepage!

Divestistas and incredible campus activists,

Guess what? Summer is only a few months away, and while I’m sure you’re still wrapped up in classes and campaign-planning, I wanted to share an opportunity to work with the field  team over the summer.

Today, we’re unveiling a new summer program: the Fossil Free Fellowship — and we wanted our divestment crew to be the first to know.

We hope you’ll consider applying today — click here to learn more.

Fossil Free fellows will join our team for the summer for a paid organizing position, either working with’s summer teams or with some of our favorite allies in community organizations around the nation. You’ll spend 20 hours each week getting actions training, organizing, and building relationships across the climate movement.

The fellowship runs from June 3rd through August 9th, and locations will vary. But since the application deadline is Sunday, April 7th, I encourage you to submit your application soon.

I can’t wait to see your applications, but if you have any questions about the program, feel free to shoot me an email:

For the summer field team,

P.S. This Thursday, we’re going to be officially launching the next phase of our fossil fuel divestment campaign: taking your movement to cities, states, and other institutions beyond colleges and universities. As the folks who have driven this campaign into the spotlight across the nation, we wanted you to be among the first to know. If you want to share this opportunity with your city, town, faith community, local museum, or beyond, check out our NEW off-campus campaign platform here:

P.P.S. OK, just one more thing: at the March Forth divestment convergence in Swarthmore a few weeks ago, some amazing students planned and crowd-sourced this epic video about the divestment movement.  Check it out and spread it around!
